Google Chrome’s Emergency Patch
A bug on Google Chrome was recently reported by an anonymous user and in response, Google quickly released Google Chrome’s emergency patch. Google is being cautious about sharing more information about the update until the majority of Chrome users have updated their browsers. According to Google, it may take more or less two weeks before the update reaches most, if not all, of its user base.
How to Update your Google Chrome
Normally, your Google Chrome would update automatically. If that’s the case, you’re all covered and you have nothing to worry about. However, if you never restart your browser or something goes wrong, you might have to manually get Google Chrome’s emergency patch. The easiest way to manually update is by doing the following:
Clicking the settings on the top right corner of your browser
Under Help,> click About Google Chrome
You should be able to update your browser from there. You are going to have to relaunch your browser to apply the update.
