What is Miro within Google Meet?


In Google Meet, you can use Miro, a third-party whiteboarding application. The Miro add-on in Meet lets you collaborate on a Miro whiteboard with other video call participants in real-time. This feature is available to users with: A laptop or desktop device, or A Chrome or Edge browser.

Feature availability


The Miro Add-on is available to all Meet users except:

  • Users under the age of 18

  • Users on a Google Family Link account

This feature is on for all users by default except for those with a Workspace for Education account. To turn on this feature for your organization, Workspace for Education users can contact their Workspace admin.



What’s changing


You can now leverage Miro, a third-party online whiteboarding app, for ideating and problem-solving as a group in Google Meet. With this integration in Google Meet, you can seamlessly collaborate on a Miro board together during a call with powerful tools and templates, such as brainstorming with digital sticky notes and planning agile workflows, for more aligned and innovative teamwork. Why you’d use it?


You now have Miro’s vast offering of drawing tools, templates, comments, and other helpful features directly accessible from Google Meet. This integration will make it easier to foster collaboration and participation from all meeting participants, regardless of location, in real-time or asynchronously.

Availability

  • Available to all Google Workspace customers, as well as legacy G Suite Basic and Business customers

  • Available to users with personal Google Accounts

  • Not available to users with a Google Family Link Account or users under the age of 18.
