Adjust the spacing between content in Sites using a new density theme setting

There's a new custom theme setting that allows users to adjust the spacing between the content on their site with Compact, Cozy, or Comfortable spacing options.

Google Sites is a structured wiki and web page creation tool included as part of the free, web-based Google Docs Editors suite offered by Google. The service also includes Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Slides, Google Drawings, Google Forms, and Google Keep. Google Sites is only available as a web application.

To create a new Dot Density theme, click the Add Map Theme button in the MAP Themes panel. Alternatively, choose New MAP Theme from the MAP Themes panel options menu. This opens the New MAP Theme dialog box, where the theme name, theme type, and feature type for a new Dot Density theme are specified.

What can you do with Sites?

Build internal project hubs, team sites, public-facing websites, and more—all without a designer, programmer, or IT help. With Google Sites, building websites is easy. Just drag the content where you need it.

When you create a new site, it’s automatically added to Drive, like your other files stored in Drive. You can edit a Google Site together with someone else in real-time, and see each other’s changes live. Publish the site for everyone to see, or restrict sharing permissions and make the site accessible only to people you want to share it with, like vendors or suppliers.

Site editors using new Google Sites can now adjust the spacing between the content on their site with a custom theme setting that offers Compact, Cozy, or Comfortable spacing options. By default, all newly created sites will start with the Comfortable setting.

We hope this highly requested feature provides you with more visual control over your site, especially for complex sites with a lot of content.

When you want to build a simple, free website, it can be tricky to find the right builder. Some only let you have one page, while others make you dig around menus to figure out how to use them. What if you just want to drag and drop some text and images in a decent-looking layout?
